If you add to this that, the Jazz cannot ignore the personality of the performer and his technical, stylistic and maturity skill, no wonder the fact that it could become an art form of popular and widely accessible, to an art form often cerebral, cold and followed by poor public. But lovers of Jazz Music believe in the validity of it for all that you can express genuine and essential, in particular for its immediate communicability is obtained from authentic musical talents. As a tribute to this belief, we wanted to present to the public a great jazz pianist, Mal Waldron, who trained in Trio, with Pepito Pignatelli drums and Giovanni Tommaso on double bass, has performed 10 tracks of indisputable artistic interest, particularly representative of his inimitable style, that confirm the quality of jazz as artistic fact. The real artistic personality of this exceptional pianist is evidenced by the variety and rhythmic counterpoint made by his left hand: the compositions "Theme de Coureurs" and "Maroc" are two brilliant examples of the cool musical palette that makes an authentic leader and Mal Waldron perhaps the depositary of the most valid current of contemporary jazz.” G.
